Beautillion Educational Assistance Program

2008 Mr. Beautillion
Harrison Isaiah Flood

"What lies behind us, and what lies before us are
tiny matters compared to what lies within us."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Mr. Beautillion Harrison Isaiah Flood

Mr. Flood recently graduated from C.E. Jordan High School. During his senior year in high school his primary focus was on preparing for the next stage of his life…college.  His accomplishments consist of establishing and organizing the first gospel choir club at his school.  He considers this one of his big accomplishments.  Additionally, Harrison is heavily involved with his church.  Currently, he holds various leadership positions at the church such as the President of the Junior Church, First Vice President of the YPD (Young People’s and Children's Division), and the area Worship Leader of the YPD.

Harrison will be attending the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the fall 2008 semester, where he plans to major in communications or business. His hope is to become a sports broadcaster or possibly own his own business.

Reflections on the Beautillion Experience

“Being involved in this program has helped shape and mold me into a better person.  I have learned a lot of things that I will take with me off to college that will help me succeed.  I thank all the people that spoke to us, giving advice and tips at anytime, on how to better carry ourselves as young African American men. I plan on growing up and being a positive influence, so that one day I will be able to help out a young kid like myself.”
